Start with a Challenge

Designing Your Life - 30 Day Challenge

There comes a point in life when you start asking yourself, am I really living the life I want? Maybe you’ve been feeling restless or just tired of running on autopilot. You might be daydreaming about a slower pace, a new adventure, hobby, or simply more peace in your day. The truth is, if you’re already questioning it, you’re ready to start. Use this 30 day challenge to help you prioritize what is important to you.

There’s never a perfect moment to make your life a priority. Waiting for the “right time” usually just keeps you stuck in the same place. Change doesn’t have to begin with a big leap; it can start with a pen, paper, and a few honest lists.

Week One: Know What’s Important

Start by writing down what’s most important to you. Think of the people, places, causes, values of what write down what matters most to you. If you had more time or energy, what would you like to do to help make the world a better place? If you had more money, what would be important to you to donate to? Find the positive things in life that matter to you.

Then make a second list of the things you deal with daily that drain your energy or don’t align with your inner peace. If you’re feeling weighed down by obligations or expectations that never truly felt right, it’s time to face them head-on.

This step helps you get clear about what you need to let go of and what you want to protect.

Week Two: Identify What Needs to Change

The goal isn’t perfection, it’s progress. Even small improvements can lead to a more balanced, fulfilling life. Start by identifying your biggest stressors. Maybe it’s your job, finances, family, friends, neighborhood, schools, healthcare, regional, politics or natural disasters. Then move to the smaller daily annoyances, such as traffic, clutter, overcommitments, constant errands, or lack of downtime and self-care.

Writing it all out helps you spot patterns and decide what truly needs to change to create a life you look forward to waking up to.

Week Three: Create Your Dream Lists

Now comes the fun part. Designing your ideal life.

Make lists for how you want to spend your days, weeks, months, year or years. What would your mornings look like? How would you spend your weekends? Etc.

Then, make the opposite list: what you don’t enjoy about your current routines.
Ask yourself:

  • What goals have I delayed that I still want to accomplish?

  • What might I regret later if I don’t take action now?

  • What experiences do I want to have accomplished in five or ten years?

If you don’t make it happen, it won’t. Those dreams could turn into regrets.

Week Four: Celebrate What You Already Enjoy

Make one more list of what you do enjoy about your current life. Comparing all these lists side by side helps you see where small adjustments can bring your current lifestyle closer to your ideal one.

Add all non negotiable’s in section for each list. The things you refuse to compromise on anymore. Protect your peace, your time and your joy.

Build Your Vision Board

Now, turn your ideas into something visual. Create a dream or vision board that reflects how you want to feel every day. Feeling calm, healthier, energized, adventurous, and free. Add colors, photos and words that represent the weather, scenery, and lifestyle you’re craving. This simple exercise turns vague dreams into a clear, tangible roadmap for your future.

The first step isn’t quitting your job or selling everything, it’s being honest with yourself. It starts with being honest with yourself and forgetting everyone else’s expectations and opinions. Once you see your life clearly on paper the path toward your new lifestyle begins to take shape. The time is now, not because everything’s perfect, but because you are finally ready to make yourself a priority.
