Feed Up with Everything?!
Burnout Out to Slow Lifestyle
It was time for a lifestyle change.
Traded Burnout for a Slower Way of Life
Yup, I had enough of wasting my time, energy and money on exhausting short trips. Turns out what I actually needed was a whole new lifestyle.
I Traded Burnout for a Beach Town in Mexico
Yup, I had enough of wasting my time, energy, and money on exhausting short trips. Turns out what I actually needed was a whole new lifestyle.
Traveling can be extremely stressful, and I used to wonder how other people managed to travel all the time when I could barely squeeze in one trip a decade.
Like so many of us, I was living an unhealthy lifestyle — stressed out constantly, all work and zero relaxing or exploring. Stopping to smell the roses just didn't fit into the hustle we're all told we have to put up with. Turns out that has a name: burnout.
As I got closer to my 50th birthday, I knew a change was coming, and it wasn't just menopause.
Not sure if anyone wants to hear about how I finally decided to sell most of what I owned, downsize, and move to a less expensive area. Then I took it one step further and moved to a small fishing village in Mexico (when I'm not back home, that is). People have been quietly retiring here for decades, and with the sky-high cost of living back home, it just happened to be the right time for me to make the leap too.
This travel lifestyle has let me slow down and explore whenever the mood strikes. It's easy to grab a bag for a weekend getaway nearby — there are dozens of five-star spa resorts, stunning cenotes, and a handful of islands just a short drive plus ferry ride away, perfect for a day trip, a week, or longer.
Finding the right location near an international airport makes it so easy to hop over to nearby countries whenever I want more international travel in my life.
I'm encouraging you to think outside the box, step away from the madness, and start living life the way you actually dream of living it.
If you're interested in this lifestyle and want to follow along on my journey, let me know — I'd love to share more.
